Gorgeous antique New Zealand flag. This is an Ensign (nautical) flag. Up until the 1960s, the maritime, or ensing flags had a red background instead of the blue of the national flag (or the current ensign white background).
The flag is sewn, not printed and still has the rope and wooden dowel attached. I am unsure if its a linen, wool or cotton weave. The last picture is showing some of the various sizes of New Zealand flags I have available (flags pictured may be sold / I may have additional ones on the store not pictured)
Really nice size of 50 inches tall x 106 inches wide
Age-worn condition with some small holes, black markings and frayed ends. Please view pictures carefully. Slightly vintage smell that will probably dissipate after being hung up for a while. It has been freshly washed and is ready to to be displayed!
