Painted antique red ensign flag of Australia. The fabric is a gauzy-cotton and the design has been painted on both sides in red and blue. All all of the “white” portions of the flag are unpainted fabric that you can see through to the other side when held up to the light.
This was most likely used in a parade, a military ceremony or patriotic event of some kind.
Measurements: overall including stick 34 x 36 inches
Condition: Some marks / discoloration from age. Small rips/ holes in the fabric. Slight fraying of the edges.
