***Quick note: Please keep in mind this item is coming from NZ and may take 7-14+ business days to arrive.
(expedited shipping can be arranged as well. If you’d like more info on that, keep scrolling to the bottom or shoot me a message!) The tree will need to be assembled, which is very easy to do. It will also be arriving in a small-ish package as they compact down very tightly.
Description: Sparkly authentic mid-century Christmas tree. The tree is most likely from New Zealand from the N.Z. Tinsel Limited Company which was established in Auckland in 1959! The branches are made of dual-colored green and silver tinsel, it has a folding aluminum stand and 3 solid wooden poles for the trunk.
5’-3” tall x 30” wide.

Condition:
This tree was “shedding” tinsel a bit more than usual when I was assembling it. The branches are also a bit more sparse than some of my other trees. However, what it lacks in immaculate condition it makes up for with how sparkly and shiny it is!
The Stand:
Although the stand is an original midcentury one, I believe the owners replaced it somewhere along the way. The trunk is a little too big for the stand so it looks like it was hand-carved down to a tapered end - pictured. (The 3 pole Christmas trees usually have a taller, larger stand and the 2 pole trees usually have ones like this tree has). Because of this, the fit wasn’t as seamless as my other trees, and I had to rotate the pole to get it in and straight. But after that it was fine and not wobbly.
Other notes:
Some of the branches may be snug or slightly loose in the wooden holes, but they all fit! Branches can be molded into the positions desired. Some may be slightly crooked, but can be bent back if needed. Some branches might have the tinsel slightly smushed in patches. Tinsel bits to be expected at the bottom of the box. Tree trunk may lean slightly at first, but the center poles can be rotated until it balances. The wooden poles fit together, but you may have to twist the dowels in if it’s a snug fit (or in the case of it being too loose, you can always place a bit of tissue inside the hole). Please note this is vintage tinsel, not aluminum metal (the stand is aluminum).
Vintage disclosure: Any major flaws will be noted, but please view pictures carefully & keep in mind these are vintage items and are expected to have time-worn flaws which give them character.
Well done, you! By shopping vintage, you are keeping items out of landfills, creating less waste, supporting a small business and adding a unique item to your home!
Shipping options:
I cover the cost of economy shipping, which can sometimes take up to 14+ business days to arrive. It is also not fully tracked.
If you’d like it fully tracked and arriving at an estimated 7 business days, it would probably be around an extra $30 USD added to the price of the tree. If you’d like it there in under 7 business days it would be around $70 USD.
(Disclaimer! These are just some general numbers to give you a rough idea. It will vary depending on the size of the tree and what country you are in. The arrival days are just estimates and are not gaurentees. I unfortunately have no control of how long an item is held in customs, but it usually isn’t too bad! :)
