Description: Very sparkly silver and green mid-century modern Christmas tree. The tree is from New Zealand, most likely from the N.Z. Tinsel Limited Company which was established in Auckland in 1959! The branches are made of dual-colored shiny silver and green tinsel. The last few pictures were taken outside, where the green tinsel appeared much lighter in color than the inside pictured. When the sunlight hit the branches, they were so reflective and shiny!
The tree has a folding aluminum stand and 2 solid wooden poles for the trunk.

Condition: The tree branches are in overall in fair condition, but what she lacks in perfection, she makes up with sparkle!
I of course take note of all the imperfections when assembling the trees, but when I was finished with this one, I really did step back and go - “wow! You can hardly tell!” The branches were shedding a bit of tinsel when I assembled it, but nothing alarming. Quite a few of the branches are patchy or have stripped sections where the fanned out tinsel is gone (see picture). There are not enough branches to fill every single hole, and some slots were left empty at the very bottom.
Some of the branches may be snug or slightly loose in the wooden holes, but they all fit! Branches can be molded into the positions desired. Some may be slightly crooked, but can be bent back if needed. Some branches might have the tinsel slightly smushed in patches. Tinsel bits to be expected at the bottom of the box. Tree trunk may lean slightly at first, but the center poles can be rotated until it balances. The wooden poles fit together, but you may have to twist the dowels in if it’s a snug fit (or in the case of it being too loose, you can always place a bit of tissue inside the hole). The stand was a little snug, but it fits on! Please note this is vintage tinsel, not aluminum metal (the stand is aluminum).
