Paua Shell Tree - shiny blue and green MCM vintage Christmas tree - midcentury modern aluminum Xmas tree

Description: Authentic mid-century Christmas tree in a shiny blue and green. The tree is from New Zealand from the N.Z. Tinsel Limited Company which was established in Auckland in 1959! The branches are made of dual-colored blue and green tinsel, it has a colapasable plastic stand and 3 solid wooden poles for the trunk.
Approx. 5-1/2 feet tall x 32 inches wide. More height can be added by placing the tree on a box and adding a tree skirt to cover it. Go check out the “Christmas” section of my store if you’d like to purchase a New Zealand sheepskin tree skirt to complete the look! ☺️

Condition: About in a 1/3 of the branches (or slightly less), the blue tinsel is slightly faded and have some white speckling on them (pictured). My guess is the tree perhaps as one point sat in a garage in a box without a lid and maybe the exposed branches got a little faded and got sprinkled with some paint?? Not very noticeable when the tree is assembled.
Some of the branches may be snug or slightly loose in the wooden holes, but they all fit! Branches can be molded into the positions desired. Some may be slightly crooked, but can be bent back if needed. Some branches might have the tinsel slightly smushed in patches. Tinsel bits to be expected at the bottom of the box. Tree trunk may lean slightly at first, but the center poles can be rotated until it balances. The wooden poles fit together, but you may have to twist the dowels in if it’s a snug fit (or in the case of it being too loose, you can always place a bit of tissue inside the hole). Please note this is vintage tinsel, not aluminum metal (the stand is aluminum).

Vintage disclosure: Any major flaws will be noted, but please view pictures carefully & keep in mind these are vintage items and are expected to have time-worn flaws which give them character.
