This is a rare, original print from the famous photographer John H Johns. Its number 79/250 and stamped with the date 1977. It is of the Coromandel state forest interior, and I cannot find another one like it anywhere, making this a really exciting find!
John H Johns was English, but immigrated to NZ in 1951 and joined the New Zealand Forest Service. Horrified at the loss of native forest due to logging, he used his training in forest management along with his skill as a photographer to become the Forest Services only ever official photographer. (You can read more about him here: https://collections.tepapa.govt.nz/topic/10677 )
Free shipping world wide! (If you're in NZ, please message me for a local discount)
