Rare, vintage NATAL rugby flag. This flag pre-dates the mid 90’s controversial name change to The Sharks. Previously, the team was often nicknamed “The Banana Boys”. (Feelings were so strong regarding the resistance of the name change, that Banana-related items where temporarily banned at games after the rebranding occurred.) 🍌
The flag is a black and white cotton featuring painted letters and a banana carrying a rugby ball at the center. Such a fantastic piece of rugby history!
