I named this “The ‘Voyage dans la Lune’ Wall Hanging” because it reminded me of the fabulous, avant-garde French film from 1902 about a celestial journey.
The piece consists of a tattered pink cotton field, with an appliqué star and shiny, golden bullion tassels at the bottom, which are made from twisted metal. We added a wooden pole and cotton rope for hanging.
Overall dimensions: approx. 19.5 x 34.5 inches (just the tapestry: approx. 16.5 x 29 inches)
