Fantastic and rare New Zealand Post office flag - weathered to perfection! This flag was originally flown outside a post office in Wellington, NZ.
I have two available on my store. Other than the two I have, the only other one I can find at the moment is in a museum - so snatch up this piece of kiwi history while it’s available!
The flag body appears to be wool with the individual letters and center emblem cotton. I absolutely love the holes, wind frayed edges and the fabric repair patch. So much character and history!
The center logo-emblem depicts a Kiwi bird against an envelope, surrounded by two lightening bolts, an airplane, ship, train, broadcast tower and telegraph pole, flanked by two Hermes-wings and topped with the royal crown.
Measurements: 72x34 inches
Lovely, weathered condition from being flown outside. Some holes, pulls in the fabric, repairs and age marks here and there. Please view pictures carefully. Freshly hand-laundered and ready to be displayed!
