Vintage red New Zealand flag. This is an Ensign (nautical) flag. Up until the 1960s, the maritime, or ensing flags had a red background instead the current white ensign background.
The flag is an interesting mix of what I believe is a cotton printed Union Jack sewn onto a red wool body with stitched stars.
Measurements: 48 x 34 inches
Condition: Please view pictures carefully. Color/dye bleeding in the Union Jack section. Some pilling of the fabric / white fabric lint. A few holes and stains throughout.
