Authentic WWII New Zealand E.P.S. armband. These were worn by civilian members of the Emergency Precautions Scheme. This was a government program designed to mobilize citizens in the event of an emergency or attack. By January 1942, joining became compulsory for those who qualified.
This band is a soft, calico cotton and is in overall really nice condition. Some small holes and age markings. The red lettering and King’s Crown are still a vibrant red.
